Good concrete is a formwork problem. Every slab that comes out clean, square and to dimension is a formwork job done properly. Every bow, honeycomb or line that is out by 20mm is a formwork job done badly. The concreter gets the credit or the blame, but the outcome is decided before the pour.
Cycle discipline. On a multi-pour program the whole job runs off the strip-and-cycle rhythm. Forms have to come down, get cleaned and go back up on schedule, or the concreters stand around and the program slips a week at a time.
